Are we love unconditionally

Sometimes people don't agree.

You can count on people for years and

in an instant things can change,

you go from acceptance to rejection;

from love to hostility.

You can't change people,

the choice is theirs all along.

Even when you've made mistakes

and done all you can and know

to fix them people will hold it against you.

Life can be hard especially

when you lose someone close to you

and it's out of your hands and all in theirs.

You may feel alone and rejected;

like everything you've ever

known was far from unconditional.

Your past seems to be held against

you no matter what you've come through.

People say time will tell but time

isn't what they're waiting for,

it's any mistake that can prove a point.

Where is the love in that?

As Christians are we not to help our brothers

and sisters when they're down?

Or have I been wrong all these years?

Are there terms to this love we show?

Are we only to love ones who haven't hurt us?

Only ones who haven't let us down?

Where is the line drawn? Did I miss it?

Is the 7 times 70 merely a suggestion?

God is all you'll ever have that will never fail you.

Where will you put your trust?

My desire is to be like Christ in every way.

I know I'm not him but everyday

I long to know him more

and show his love to the world full of such

hurt and abandonment.

People are selfish so i'll try to be selfless.

People are fickle but I'll be immovable.

I want nothing more than the perfect will

of God for myself and everyone I've meant

and will met.

Christians, realize how powerful your words are.

Yes we are taught that the tongue of our

mouth is like the rudder of a ship directing out path,

with what you've said over me

where are you directing mine?

Is love and compassion in out midst

or has it been replaced with hurt and condemnation?

Are we love or sorrow?

How do you make people feel that have let you down?

To the least of these you do unto me.
